by default, the cruise will blink or be disabled whenever the check engine light comes on, this is for safety

so,, its not a cruise problem but another computer or sensor problem the computer detected

So,, no way for me to say the cause of the light. One of too many codes could have set

May be very simple glitch computer detected

the only way to know for sure is to drop by an Autozone, advance etc parts store,. they will do a free code scan. tell you the code #, what it means and possible suggest of what is needed to fix

I cant help as the code is needed

Since running ok, not missing, bucking etc

very possible its a minor fix, could even be a loose gas cap as expample

So,, step one is to get the code, they can tell you if severe or not. I doubt it since drives ok, runs ok

But ignor the cruise as that normal. the computer disables it for safety

If you want to try removing the battery terminsal, hold the termianl ends together for 90 seconds, you may? clear the codes, then drive to rest idle and the code may not come back, No gurantee on this, only DIY try if you would like.
