Welcome to JA! I am Carguy1 and I will assist you today.
Hi there!
This model year is a little tricky because you have to remove some of the center panel to get the trim off around the instrument cluster, then you can access the screws that hold the cluster in.
HERE is a pdf file to help you out.
Let me know if you need any further assistance.
Thanks

In your instructions #3 Disconnect each electrical connector to remove front cover (A) and switch panel (B). The electrical connecters are not visible. How do you access them?

#4 reads "Loosen screws (c) to remove center panel". Apparently there are two (c) screws that are part of the ash tray. How does one access the screws as they are upside down and with very limited space?

Without finishing steps 1 thru 4, the remaining steps are not possible.

Thanks
Bill

When you pop out the switch panel, there is enough wire to pull it out so that you can disconnect the connectors.
Ashtray is a real pita, very short driver or one that has a 90 degree angle to remove the screws.
Told you this year was a tricky dog!

It did help a bit. I haven't had time to apply the instructions you last sent. Perhaps tomorrow. I am concerned about the Hook pawls. These are sometimes tricky getting them out without breaking or back in and setting correctly.

Sometimes using a putty knife and very carefully applying pressure where they are will help prevent any breaks.
