backed up into a tree limb, busted out the rear window and dented the window frame - is there an inexpensive fix or do I have to replace the rear hatchdoor?
Optional Information: Year: 2010 Make: Subaru Year (other): 2011 Make (other): Forester Already Tried: ordered glass, but glass shops says I need to fix dent in frame first, body shop wants to replace entire door, big $$$ no insurance

Positive feedback is appreciated!Hello, sorry for your accident. Unfortunately, if the rear gate is bent it can not only cause a sealing problem but is there is stress on the glass from not sitting in the glass frame correctly but may break from flexing in the frame.Sorry for the bad news but this is the only proper fix that will not risk breaking the replacement glass.Kevin
We took a 2x4 and a hammer and straightened out the frame and has the glass replaced for $550.00 The body shop wanted $2600 for the entire job. So no, we are not satisfied with your answer.
Ok, glad you were able to work around the body shop quote.
