HELLO MR KEVIN.

MY NAME ISXXXXX FIRST START THE ENGINE THE BLACK SMOG COME OUT AND THE ENGINE IS ALMOST SHUT OFF. I PUSH SOME GAS THAN RPM GO UP LITTLE.AFTER THE ENGINE GO NORMAL FOR 5 MINUTE AND THE ENGINE RPM GO VERY LOW IDLE. I DRIVE FOR 7 MILES THE CHECK ENGINE TRACTION CONTROL AND CRUISE CONTROL LIGHT ON. THE SCANNER SHOW MY CAR THE FUEL TRIM TOO RICH AND MALFUNCTION ..

Ok, what I suspect is happening based on many other 07 & 08 Turbo models I have had with this issue is the upper intake gaskets tend to leak, mainly cold causing the idle problems as well as the P0171, P0172 and also misfire codes at times. You will need the upper intake gaskets replaced, I do not consider this a DIY project unless you are very inclined. You have to remove the intake assy, disassemble it and replace the upper gaskets as well as the lower gaskets since you removed the intake assy. I do believe this falls under your 5/60K drive line warranty so the dealer should do this job for you for free, but talk to them to verify. I am attaching the bulletin regarding this issue.
