I have a P2443 code, 2007 WRX "Sec air inj. system switching viv stuck closed bank 2" any suggestion as to cause/fix?

Hi, my name is XXXXX XXXXX is most likely a bad secondary air valve, but you must trace the chart to determine this, it could be as simple as a fuse, but if the fuse is blown, suspect the cause as being a bad valve, i will post the chart below,Tim

The fault came back after a few minutes on running after I reset it - so I guess it could be a fuse - I can check that. Baring finding a blown fuse, where is the sec air valve located and cna it be replaced by me - I am pretty experienced around fuel injection systems, with the right guidance.

Secondary Air Combi Valve

REMOVAL

SECONDARY AIR COMBI VALVE LH

  1. Disconnect the ground cable from battery.
  2. Remove the intercooler.
  3. Disconnect the connector from secondary air combi valve LH.
  4. Disconnect the air duct.
  5. Disconnect the pipe LH.

  1. Remove the secondary air combi valve LH.

SECONDARY AIR COMBI VALVE RH

  1. Disconnect the ground cable from battery.
  2. Remove the intercooler.
  3. Remove the secondary air combi valve LH.
  4. Remove the intake manifold.
  5. Disconnect the connector from secondary air combi valve RH.
  6. Disconnect the pipe RH.

  1. Remove the secondary air combi valve RH.

INSTALLATION


SECONDARY AIR COMBI VALVE LH
Install in the reverse order of removal.

NOTE: Use a new gasket.
