Customer Question

Hi
JA: Hi. How can we be of help?
Customer: I have a question.
JA: OK. Tell me a bit more about what's going on so we can help you best.
Customer: I have an 8000 lb point load over an opening 7' opening and the engineer has called for a triple 2x12 header with two half inch plywood sheets between 2x12....creating a 5.5" beam. 8000 # sounds like a lot.
JA: Is there anything else important you think the Structural Engineer should know?
Customer: No

Was the species and grade of lumber specified?
