I need to size an I beam to span a 14' opening with 8''

Customer Question

Hi. I need to size an I beam to span a 14' opening with 8'' bearing on each side. There is about 28'' of common brick and concrete block back up to support. Wall thickness is 12''. This is an exterior wall that is bearing roof joist.
JA: OK. Is there anything else the Structural Engineer should be aware of?
Customer: we will weld a 12''x3/8'' plate to bottom of beam
