I would like to move a lally column to increase space room

Customer Question

I would like to move a lally column to increase space for a room in my basement. I'm told by contractors if I reinforce my main carrying beam over the increased span with 2 LVL beams bolted and glued to either side of the carrying beam, I can move the lally column.
The house is a 1300 square foot ranch with a fully trussed roof. The carrying beam is (4) 2X10 construction with lally columns at 10 foot spacing.
I want to move an end lally column currently 10 feet from a concrete wall to a new location 15 feet from the wall increasing this one span from 10 to 15 feet. I don't want to remove any columns. The load above the column in question is the bedroom end of the ranch.
Does this make sense?

How are the 2x10s spliced? Are all four always spliced over the lally column? Are the splices staggered randomly throughout the length?

Two 10' spans will turn into a 15' span and a 5' span?

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
The main carrying beam is made up of (4) 2 X 10s fastened at the top, middle and bottom every 10 inches. Yes, two 10 foot spans turn into one 5 foot and one 15 foot span.

How are they spliced, though. Each 2x10 is not full length, correct?
