How best to fix a twisted steel I beam in basement...flat on

Customer Question

how best to fix a twisted steel I beam in basement...flat on both ends with a twist in the middle. We bought the house 10+ years ago and it was inspected w/o any notice or mention of the problem.. we discovered when adding water line to refrigerator. There is no cracking apparent in any walls or floors above... just want to be safe.

are you still there?

Sorry for the delay, I had to step out of the office for a short time.

I would like to see the extent of the twist in the beam, if you can get a picture. Whenever you can get one is fine.
