Hello. I can help. Is this a continuation of a previous question?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I am building a machine shed with a shed/lean to roof.It will be 30 ft deep and 45 ft wide. The uprights will be eastern hemlock or eastern white pine 8x8's whichever is stronger,on 10 ft centers. Will an 8x8 header spanning 10 feet be appropriate for construction in zone 4.That is in Kemptville,Ontario,Canada.
I mention the location because of snow load.
The uprights will be anchored to 18"x48" concrete piers using a galvanized steel bracket set into thre concrete.

You will have 30' long rafters? Supported by beams spanning 10' between posts?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No,the distance between posts along the length is 10 ft.The roof will have a back wall supporting it plus one or two more rows of posts down the middle. This would make the span 10 ft or 15 ft.I am using fully dimensioned rough sawn lumber.I thought 2x8 or 2x10 supported every 10 or 15 ft going front to back would be OK.

Can you post a sketch for me to look at?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I can do that later this evening or tomorrow.
Is that OK?
Expert:  StructuralEng replied 1 year ago.

That's no problem.

Sure. I'm not sure what the problem was, since you said you would post a sketch. Good luck with your project.
