Customer Question

Hi,
I am removing an 18' wall to open up my kitchen. It is on the second floor of a daylight basement 1953 home. There is a roof with an attic above with a 2'x12 running along the ridge and 2'x4's running along the roof every 6' with 2'x4's coming off the ceiling at an angle and landing on top of the wall to be removed. I wanted to know what size wood or steel beam to use.
Thanks
