You can go up 20' from grade with brick without relieving it, but ties are typically at 16" on center in both directions.

Why do you need to anchor the angle to an LVL? This is single wythe brick veneer, correct? Why not use a typical loose lintel angle? Supporting the angle from the LVL introduces multiple issues and complexities to address.
