My cabin is 24'w by 36' l. With a 7/12 pitch roof. My ridge is in the middle. my rafters are 2x10x12' oak @ 2'-0" o.c. I need an intemediate beam that spans 23'-6". I was planning on using a 1 3/4" x 16" microlam. Can I accomplish this by using 2 plys or do I need to use 3 plys.
