I want to remove two walls in a single story home. The first

Customer Question

Hi,
I want to remove two walls in a single story home.
The first doesn't appear to be load bearing. The ceiling joists span 25' feet and are sistered at roughly half span. The wall is perpendicular to the ceiling framing and about 10' from the rear of the house, so it's not under the sistering. Do I need to provide a beam in this location?
The second wall is an 11' portion between the living area of the house and the garage. The full length of the wall is 24'. The wall is parallel to the ceiling framing. I would need to size a beam at this location.
