Lvl sizing

Customer Question

removing part of an interior wall

spec'ing lvl size for 14' header carrying half the load of 15' ceiling joists and 2 kickers from a roof that spans 28' . It also will have a 5' header hanging off it at about halfway that carries 2 ceiling joists and one kicker

bearing to solid block sills in basement with footer with 2x6 framing down there.  will be putting extra posts in to transfer the load.  wall in question is 2x4 but can be expanded within limits
