Hi there

In Spain there is not an special law for that. The regular law, comun law, says that the owner of the dog is responsible for the damages that his dog makes to a another person or his goods.

In adition, spanish law forces to the owner of the dog to have an insurance for the damages the dog could make

So, the person who recibes injuries, the owner of the livestock, could sue the owner of the dog for the damages

Its important to know who is the owner of the dog, for that we have to know that all the owners has to put a chip of their dogs

Once we know the owner, or the dog, we could denounce the facts to the police to call the owner to pay for damages

Thank you
