I am trying to sell a membership in a holiday club in Spain.

This answer was rated:

I am trying to sell a membership in a holiday club in Spain. I have been offered £4000 through Vacation Outlet based at Mijas Costa. I have paid a refundable deposit of 1450 Euros and have now been told that I have to send a further £979 to pay spanish taxes on this amount before the money can be released to me. Is this a genuine process and amount, or is it a scam to take further money off me. I was originally told that there would be no further payments required from me before I sent the original sum of money. I am also told that I should be able to claim a refund of part of this money later from the Britsh tax authorities. They are ringing me later today to find out if I have made a bank transfer to them.
Thank you.
