I am the owner of a house/villa in mijas pueblo, malaga, which I have completely paid off all of the mortgage on, so can the local authorities take ownership of my villa from me, as a result of myself not paying rates/basurro in recent 6 years, amounting to approximately 3,500 euros, as I was in Scotland for many years of surgery and too unhealthy to come home to Mijas. Unfortunately, my EX-partner, let my villa fall behind with all payments to local authorities during this time. I am in the process of negotiating payments monthly by standing order from my bank(santander) in Scotland, to my old account in Banesto, Mijas, to repay all. Please tell me if they can or cannot take my property from me,Yours Sincerely,A very worried, ill womanFrancesca Stacey Muchos Gracias!
Hi Sir
I am sn spanish solicitor
The law allows to the City hall to sell out the house at court when you do not paid the taxes but it has be for a lot of years.
The best way to solve the problem Its to negociate with the city hall and paid all the debts
As soon as posible contact with the city hall in order to know how much do you haave to pay and pay before they sell out the house at court
If they sell it out you could do anything against it and you lose a lot of money
