My daughter is working on a schedule which allow her a five

This answer was rated:

My daughter is working on a schedule which allow her a five day break this weekend. She booked a little breakaway for her and her daughter. This morning her boss told her that she need to work on Sunday. She will be losing her money she paid. Can she refuse to work? Can she claim the money from the company?
Good morning,

She should tell her boss that she already made plans, and if someone else could not work instead. If there is no one else, she should then tell her boss that it would only be reasonable then that she is refunded the money she has paid on this breakaway. She should not refuse to work, but she should inform her boss that she would be suffering damages because of his sudden decision that she must work on Sunday. He will also have to give her, her 5 days off at another stage then or pay her overtime on Sunday.
