Hello. I purchased avast on 12/13/16 for the amount of $45.36 and would like a refund as that computer was returned to the store after it crashed. Is there a problem getting a refund?
JA: Just to clarify, what's the make and model of your machine, and what operating system are you running?
Customer: It was a hp laptop and was running windows 10.
JA: Have you installed any updates recently?
Customer: No this is a different computer and I was told by the hp tech not to uninstall the security provided with the new pc.
JA: Anything else you want the software expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: I heard real good things about avast and got it but hp couldn't fix what was happening to my new pc and seemed to think it was due to changing security.

Third-party vendors are not typically fond of giving you a refund once you installed the software on a computer and that computer suffers an unrelated breakdown.

That having been said, did you buy a multi-host license? Often, the product can be loaded, say, four times.
