Did this issue start around the time you installed the Update to ElCapitan?
I fear you may be left with only ONE option to restore the software functionality.
That is to REinstall the Adobe Dreamweaver CS5.5 software package.
Apple computers do things a bit differently than Windows.....so...how did you INITIALLY install Adobe DreamWeaver CS5.5?
Did you install from a Disc(s)?
Did you download it, and THEN install it? (meaning there is no Physical media)
did the Apple computer COME WITH Adobe Dreamweaver CS 5.5?
Ahh....well that will be necessary....as you need to do a Reinstall.....or a Repair on the Adobe System files.
The version of DreamWeaver you have a product key for is NOT available anymore for download.....so you HAVE to use the disc.
