Hello, and Thank You for choosing JustAnswer.comMy name is ***** ***** I am reviewing your question now, please stand by for 1 or 2 minute for reply.
Is this file being saved on the LOCAL hard drive? Did you create a shortcut
Or somehwere else?
See, an alias is like a shortcut......its not the ACTUAL file.....but rather POINTS to where the file is.
So, if the Alias has a pointer to a place where the file is.....but the file was moved to a different place, or the place is NOT accessibale (like a cloud drive or a NAS server that is OFFLINE) then the alias wont work anymore.
YOu will have to RE-Create the Alias.
Best thing to do here is to use Finder, and SEARCh for the file using the filename.
