Okay....do you know what the file extension is for the QB files?

The file extesion, is the 3 letters after the dot in the file name

For example.......a picture file is a jpg file extension, and looks like this.

picture.jpg

the .jpg is the file extension.

qbw
Expert:  Quiksilver07070 replied 2 months ago.

Ahh, okay.....give me just a moment

Expert:  Quiksilver07070 replied 2 months ago.

So a qbw file is a COMPANY FILE

most likely this qbw file is a backup.

Have you tried to add (open or import) that qbw file to QB yet?

Customer: replied 2 months ago.
No
Expert:  Quiksilver07070 replied 2 months ago.

Do you know if the file is a WORKING COMPANY file, or if it is a BACKUP file?

Customer: replied 2 months ago.
I don't know - sorry!
Expert:  Quiksilver07070 replied 2 months ago.

Well, if its a backup, you use the restore function to restore a current company file.

But if its a Working company file......then we ADD it, and open it.

So.....it does matter to know.

Where did you get the file? Where was it stored?

Customer: replied 2 months ago.
It was on the desktop? Can you access it remotely and add it to QuickBooks?
Expert:  Quiksilver07070 replied 2 months ago.

We can certainly try......

let me fire up the remote server.....one moment.

Expert:  Quiksilver07070 replied 2 months ago.

The same process as yesterday.

Click on the link below, follow the instructions, click on I AGREE.

then open the file that downloads.

Ol Santa Monica had a city wide power surge - how should I sign in again?
Expert:  Quiksilver07070 replied 2 months ago.

this question was just a continuance of the first question.

Apparently i cant cancel it.....you will have to.

or just leave it, it will time out in 7 days.

Going back to the original question, and adding in the bonus is the best thing to do.
