Hi Jo, welcome and thank you for your question. My name is ***** ***** I am glad to assist you today.
Can you please send me a sample of your Excel file so that I can check and help you? You can attach the sample Excel file here when you reply or upload it to http://filesXpress.com and then give me the short download link.
Please let me know by replying to me here so that I can help you further.
I just sent the short link to an excel workbook.
I need to get the unique numbers from column H and bring back the data for those numbers from columns K-S.
Thank you for writing back. Is it the file named Bab New Mail?
Yes ... sorry I meant to advise that...
You want to list the UNIQUE numbers in H (no duplicates) and then pull out their corresponding data from K through S. Is that correct? If yes, where do you intend to put this list? In a new sheet?
a new sheet or next to the list of unique numbers is fine too...
And do you want it to be dynamic? Like when your initial data in H is from H2:H200, but the formula will still work when you modify the data or append to it like up to H2000?
not sure what you mean..
My intention is to generate a report...like a database query.
The report will match the transaction ID & return the data in other columns for that number.
Such as a report for a mail list.
Yes, I understand. But are you planning to do this per transaction ID? Like, you will enter one ID and then when it matches, relevant data will be shown? Or do you want this report to automatically display based on the original sheet that you have? I believe you want the later.
Well, I think that knowing both would be very helpful.
Normally, the use is to take a list of Trans_ID numbers to draw back specific cells of data from specific column(s) associated with the Trans_ID on the row.
However, a similar formula that would pull back an auto report for an updated mailing list, for instance, would be very useful as well.
Ok. I will try to do both on separate sheets. Please give me a moment.
Of course... Thanks !
Thank you. I'm almost done with the individual ID option
Here is the initial file:
That file has the individual lookup option. I am building the automated report but it can take some time.
