hi, what is the error message when you try to open the page?

Opening the Adobe Reader XI version 11.0.08 page is no problem, but when I punch the view button and select "tools" on the drop-down menu there is no response. A "tools" button near the far right does nothing but bring up a subscreen for exporting pdf files. I am looking for a "print production" selection in the (missing) tools dropdown, and under its drop-down a 'preflight" option. I'm trying to debug a print problem somewhere between the printer, the Adobe sotfware, and the sender.
