Hi, thank you for contacting JustAnswer.com. My name is Russell. I will do my best to provide the right answer to your question.

This posting of a bug report:

https://connect.microsoft.com/PowerShell/feedback/details/1790513/psreadline-not-available-in-a-powershell-x86-console-in-v5-on-windows-10

indicates that, if you are running on Windows 10 x32 (32-bit edition), you may need to install the PSREADLINE.exe program into the

......\WindowsPowerShell\Modules\

directory first.

(If I have guessed wrong, let me know the true details of the setup.)

I have a Windows 10 64 bit

Go to the directory that Powershell is installed in, using e.g. Windows Explorer.

Then go to the Modules sub-directory of that directory.

Is the file

PSReadline.exe

present there?

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
There's a psreadline folder. But I don't see the execute file
Expert:  Russell H. replied 9 months ago.

Then it isn't installed properly. Put the PSReadline file into the Modules subdirectory.

(No EXE file by that name? what files are there by that name, in the PSReadline folder?)
