Hi Felix, welcome and thank you for your question. My name is ***** ***** I am glad to assist you today.

I am very sorry about your issues. So I believe you are the owner of the redskycafe.net website, and you want it to pay some music when the site opens int he browser. Is that correct?

Please let me know by replying to me here so that I can help you further.

Best regards,
Jess

The site is my daughters in NJ. She asked me to help her local web developer to solve this issue with mac (Safari). Sound works with FireFox on mac and on PCs. The developer doesn't have a clue.
Willing to if you can fix issue.
Thanks-Felix

It is not playing on my Chrome in my Windows 10. Can you please confirm what exactly is the URL that plays the music?

I am asking because the site redskycafe.net redirects to http://redskycafe.net/REDSKYcafe/RedSkyCafeHome.html

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
http://www.redskycafe.netis correct.
Expert:  Jess M. replied 5 months ago.

Ok, please visit that site now. Are you able to hear the music?

this is the link when I type in
redskycafe.net
http://www.redskycafe.net/REDSKYcafe/RedSkyCafeHome.htmlSafari will not play but FoxFire does

It does not play in Chrome too. Let me test my Firefox

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
can you tell what code the developer is using?
Expert:  Jess M. replied 5 months ago.

I cannot tell as to what code the developer is using. But what I can tell is, the site is invoking the QuickTime plugin which is NOT supported by a lot of web browser.

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
Well quicktime is Apple so I can't believe Safari would not play a QT file?
Expert:  Jess M. replied 5 months ago.

That is correct. I suggest then that your daughter to try to embed an MP3 audio file since it is supported by most browsers. Please give that a try and then let us see if the music plays in all browsers

Please keep me posted.

Hi,

How is it going? Have your daughter or her developer tried to use an MP3 music in her website instead of a quicktime file to make it play across almost all web browsers?

Please let me know, I am still here to assist you further.

Best regards,

Jess
