Customer Question

I just installed Adobe Premier Elements 10. I tried to put some .mov videos in it but they did not run. There was no preview picture on the file. What is wrong?

Hello and thank you for choosing JUSTANSWER.com

.

IM not sure what is causing the .mov files to NOT be shown in the preview.

.

I need some more information first.

.

Do other videos work fine? Like .avi files or .mp4 files. Do these file types work?

What is your OS? Is it Win7, Win8, or Win10?

Have you ever used Adobe Premeir Elements 10 before? Do you have an experience with it?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
I have no experience with adobe. Limited experience with Pinnacle. Win 10. I will try another type of file format.
Expert:  Quiksilver07070 replied 11 months ago.

Okay, and what do the other file types look like?

Expert:  Quiksilver07070 replied 11 months ago.

Do you have the Owners/User maual that came with the Adobe Premeir Elements 10?

.

I might be able to find it online.....would you like to have a copy to reference from in the future?

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
MP4 does work on it. If I load .MOV from a stock photo, it will work. If I load one from my camera, it doesn't work.
Customer: replied 10 months ago.
The .mov from my camera only loads the audio, not the video.
Expert:  Quiksilver07070 replied 10 months ago.

okay....convert the .mov file from your camera to an .mp4 file, and THEN you should be able to get both Audio and Video.

Expert:  Quiksilver07070 replied 10 months ago.

The camera might be using an odd video format....and a conversion software should be able to convert it to a standard mp4 file.

Expert:  Quiksilver07070 replied 10 months ago.

.mov files belong to Quicktime.....and quicktime is notorious for poor file standards.

.

Because the camera is designed to use .mov files....there is nothign you can do except convert them to an .mp4 file and THEN you can edit them inside Adobe.

Expert:  Quiksilver07070 replied 10 months ago.

Did you have any other questions?

.

Did you try and do the conversion....and does it work?

.

Please take a moment to rate my performance. Thank you!

It wil take me a few days to convert the files
Expert:  Quiksilver07070 replied 10 months ago.

No problem....take as much time as you like.....i am here almost everyday.

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
Is there a free software for converting the file?
