This may be happening due to Data Execution Prevention. Do this:
Start > Control Panel > System > Advanced > Performance > Data Execution Prevention.
Select "Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select:"
Select "Add", navigate to C:\Program Files\Steam (or your default Steam directory), and add Steam.exe to the exception list.
Additionally, you will need to add the executable (hl.exe, for example) for any game you are seeing issues with. These files will either be in \Steam\steamapps\common\<Game Title>\ or in \Steam\steamapps\<Your Steam account Name>\<Game Title>\
Tell me if this doesn't work. But hopefully it should. And please don't leave me a negative rating.
If your issue is solved then please rate me (GOOD) so that I get paid for my services. Thanks
I also face such problems when using Steam.I know what you're going through.
Try running it in compatible mode with XP(Properties->compatibility->run this program in compatibility mode for->select XP).
Click OK.Now run it in administrator mode.Tell me what happens.
If it still doesn't work then do this:
Change Physx device to your GPU using Nvidia control panel.
Run Steam as Admin-> Use Win 7 compatibility mode ->Run Game as Admin
I will be waiting here for you :)
For the time ignore it,yeah. But if nothing else works then we will get back to it.
You need to apply it on the shortcut exe
and also try it with windows 7
ok! lets make it run by fixing DEP.
Type cmd in the start search menu, right-click on it and select Run as Administrator.
Enter the following command line
bcdedit.exe /set nx AlwaysOff
Try running the game again.
NOTE: If this solution doesn't work then don't forget to turn DEP back on:
write the following in CMD:
bcdedit.exe /set nx AlwaysOn
I totally understand!
Just do one last thing when you wake up:
Open the nVidia Control Panel and click on "Manage 3D Settings"Add orcsmustdie.exeScroll down until you find "SLI rendering mode" (or Multi-GPU Rendering Mode) and set this to "Force alternate frame rendering 1" and accept the warning that pops upClick Apply
Good night! :)
Scroll down from the menu until you find SLI rendering mode or Multi-GPU rendering mode....Its got to be down there
If this doesn't work then re-open Nvidia control panel. Change Physx device to your GPU.
Still if there's no luck then I'm really sorry but I'm out of ideas. :(
Multi-display/mixed GPU acceleration is different than SLI rendering mode or Multi-GPU rendering mode. You need to find it in those options above or below muti-display//mixed GPU acceleration.
Select force alternate frame rendering 1
Any luck? :/
Alright!I'm pretty sure the game will run this time :)
Please don't apologize.There's no rush.
Take care.Have a nice day :)
