Is tomcat running on your hosted server?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
It is running inside a VM in my datacenter. It is hosting a wiki but for some reason the page is no longer loading. I tried starting tomcat but that did not work.
Expert:  Kamil Anwar replied 1 year ago.

Is there a public address to check it?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No but I am able to reach the IP via my vpn.
Expert:  Kamil Anwar replied 1 year ago.

Can you remote into your VM to check if it works locally on the VM?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I'll check now.
Expert:  Kamil Anwar replied 1 year ago.

Okay.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
the port seems to be open but the page just times out.
Expert:  Kamil Anwar replied 1 year ago.

So it's not accessible locally from within the VM as well?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Well, I think the server starts....works for a few minutes and then crashes. We have a cron that starts it when it is down.
Expert:  Kamil Anwar replied 1 year ago.

can you ssh into the server?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I am currently at the bash prompt as root.

Can you check tomcat logs to see what's being returned in them? and copy/paste the logs here as well.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
tail -n 500 tomcat.out
Expert:  Kamil Anwar replied 1 year ago.

no significant errors; does the wiki logs?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
tail -n 500 dtwiki.log > /tmp/dtwiki.log.last500.
Expert:  Kamil Anwar replied 1 year ago.

Can't see anything here as well. I will need to opt out and open the question to other experts since i've run out of ideas.
