What can I do to gat the layer to print.

The first, check the layer make sure that "no plot" is not selected. Assuming that it isn't, what I would suggest doing is creating a new layer and just taking everything from the nonprinting layer and put it on new layer. If there is some problem with the layer that's causing it not to print, this should correct it. If not, please let me know and we can go from there.
