I have a Lenovo G585 with a Windows 8.1 OS. Not sure what I did, but I can't find my IE 10. When I tried to reinstall, I get a message that says that it's already installed, but I can't figure out how to recover it.

iexplore.exe

Then press enter

Does it then open?

Windows cannot find "iexplore.exe." Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again.

Go to this link on that computer and install Internet Explorer

And it should then open.

Instructs me to update to Windows 8.1 or Windows RT 8.1 and make Internet Explorer my default browser.At bottom of the screen, it tells me to find out how to get Windows 10, which I already have.

So you have upgraded to windows 10? And did this problem start when you did this?

Sorry, I could have been mistaken. Microsoft Windows Website banner now says that I have Windows 8, but I'm sure that I saw 8.1 somewhere in my searches. Should I go ahead and upgrade to Windows 8.1 and see what happens?
