Expert:  IT Miro replied 1 year ago.

If you have tried every password ***** could think of, and it hasn't worked, there is a way of resetting that user account password, but it will require you to use another computer you can log onto with Internet connection since you need to download a password ***** program and burn it onto a CD, which you then need to insert into the computer with password ***** and boot from it in order to reset the user account password *****

Will you be able to do that? If so, I can provide the thorough instructions on how to proceed.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
i already downloaded one on a usb will that work
Expert:  IT Miro replied 1 year ago.

There are many programs that you can use to reset the password. They come as a bootable USB version or a bootable CD/DVD version.

If you have already downloaded one of them, you can try with it. You just need to set booting from USB in order to start it. Restart the computer and if it doesn't load the program from the USB, you need to restart the computer again and enter the BIOS settings. You can change the boot priority order there.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
How do I enter bios settings
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
how do i get into bios settings
Expert:  IT Miro replied 1 year ago.

It depends on the computer model, but usually you need to press one of the following keys while the computer is starting:

F2

F1

F10

Del/Delete

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
ok i will try f2
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Ok trying f2
Expert:  IT Miro replied 1 year ago.

You need to press one of those keys immediately after the computer is powering on. If nothing happens, but Windows 7 starts to boot, restart the computer and try with other keys.

If none of the keys worked, let me know the make and model of your computer and I will check the right key you need to press in order to access the BIOS settings.

Ok page came up titles information main security boot and exit
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
pge came up with titles of information main security boot exit is this the right page
Expert:  IT Miro replied 1 year ago.

OK. Go to the Boot tab. You will see a list of several boot devices. You need to set USB HDD or something similar to that name at the top of the list. Use + and - keys to move, or any other that is displayed on the screen.

Once done, press the F10 key and Y to save the changes and exit the BIOS. The computer will restart and should load a program from the USB.

You can restart the computer and check, but I don't think there has been any changes since you used a demo version. The price for full version is $20. I can provide the instructions on how to download another program that is free to use.

Expert:  IT Miro replied 1 year ago.

OK, tested a program on my computer and it is working great. Here are the instructions:

1. Download ISO file for a password ***** program called PC Login Now. The link is:

2. Download a program that can "burn" the ISO file onto a USB in order to make it bootable so that you can start PC Login Now. The link is:

3. Start Rufus and select the following:

New volume label: leave default or type any name

Check device for bad blocks: un-checked

Quick format: checked

Create a bootable disk using: click on the drop-down list and select ISO Image, and then click on the CD-ROM icon near it. Browse to the downloaded PC Login Now ISO file (PCLoginNow_Full) and select it

Create extended label and icon files: un-checked

Click the Start button and proceed.

Expert:  IT Miro replied 1 year ago.

4. The PC Login Now bootable disc will be created within seconds. You can then insert into the computer where you want to reset the password.

5. Follow the instructions on screen or ask me what to type.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Ok this has taken a lot of time I have to go and drive the bus now will have to get back to you later will I still be charged since this problem has not been solved
Expert:  IT Miro replied 1 year ago.

You can come back later and follow the instructions I provided here. I tested Rufus on my Windows 8.1 computer and it worked just fine. The program works on all Windows versions.

Please download a Portable version (Rufus 2.3 Portable) available at the same web site (https://rufus.akeo.ie) and try with that.
