What is the issue you encounter when you try to import to windows 10 from the card reader?
Ok, is it an inbuilt card reader within the Laptop?
Or an external card reader?
There are a number of compatibility issues that are still occurring with windows 10. But for the camera, if you connect it directly, then press the windows key + E
Then check under the computer icon in the new window. Do you see anything showing there?
What icon are you referring to?

Connect the camera
then press the windows key + E
correct, look on the left please and you will see the computer icon listed there.
