When I try to download from certain websites, I get an error message that says my security settings will not permit downloading.

Also, do you have an antivirus and if so. Which antivirus software is it?

The browser is the program you use to view pages online.

The icon you click on to start your browser. Is it a small blue e ?

If not, describe the symbol you click on to start the internet

Lets try a few repairs. Try this first.

Those steps should fix the issue.

If they dont, then follow the steps above again , except on step two, after you click internet options.

Click the advanced tab at the top right. Then, click the reset button at the very bottom. It should ask you if you want to delete user data.

Check the box and then click reset.

If the first steps do not fix the issue, the second set of steps will.
