Hi my name is ***** ***** I will be the expert working with you today to help resolve your problem.
Please tell me the problem a bit more in detail.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Windows 7 will not boot directly from disk, but will boot from boot menu in computer setup. Can also boot Windows 7 using menu in computer setup CD boot option from Windows 7 install disk. Windows 7 also runs slowly, freezes. Have attempted to repair Windows 7 all known ways and have not found any that work.

if your computer is booting fine and the computer is slow or it freezes then i can fix it for you.
i can remote access and check the problem and fix it for you.
Then disk which you are trying to boot your computer to run windows repair must be windows 7 same version which the computer has and if its different from the version on the computer then it will boot however it will not run the windows repair.

Michelle,
I am using a laptop to send this message.
Please note that you are not able to reboot my computer into Windows 7. To do that I must power done, run machine setup, choose the correct disk, and then the method for windows--such as safe or normal modes.

Expert:  Michelle replied 1 year ago.
okay and do follow the steps given above when you are in windows.
if that is not helping much then i would suggest you to back up all your data and install windows.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
From laptop: I have changed start time. Computer will still not reboot without entering machine mode and using setup.
I earlier had backed up Windows and have attempted to reinstall same but could not do so.
Please help me do reinstall Windows if you can.
Expert:  Michelle replied 1 year ago.
yes i will go into the bios and change the boots sequence to cd/dvd 1st save changes and exit.
let the windows cd be in the drive and then reboot it you will get a prompt
boot from cd/dvd as soon as you see that message hit enter on the keyboard.
then the installation will begin.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Windows install disk is in drive and windows is starting from same.
I have asked to install and windows setup has begun.
I selected upgrade.
Message says "The computer started using the Windows installation disk. Remove the installation disk and restart your computer so that Windows starts normally. Then, insert the installation disk and restart the upgrade..."
But note that when I restart the computer I must do so from BIOS so will only get same message again.
What to do?
Expert:  Michelle replied 1 year ago.
this looks like it has gone i a loop if you have another computer let me know you can create a bootable disk and then use it to format the harddrive on this computer.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I selected upgrade to install windows 7 to avoid having to reinstall all programs after reinstalling windows. I could select a fresh install of Windows and see if that will do the install, which will require reinstalling all programs, same as if I reformatted the drive. Although I have another computer it is not Windows 7 and I don't know if it could prepare the boot disk, or how to do it.
I would like another solution if there is one as I am hoping to avoid a fresh install of Windows. Are there other choices?
