can you tell me step ,what to do to retrieve my lost tabs ?
Expert:  Chris Lindsey replied 1 year ago.
Are the lost tabs on Internet Explorer, Chrome, or Firefox?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I filled all the info out already ;its IE latest version at window 7
Expert:  Chris Lindsey replied 1 year ago.
Right click on the top of the IE internet page, make sure Menu bar is open, on the Menu bar click on 'Tools', you should see 'Reopen last browsing session'.
If you need me to connect please let me know.

Hi,
Have you gone in your History, is that gone as well?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
history doesn't have it all ;since it wasn't all typed using keypad ,they were copy pasted ;duplicate tab and back/forward ,links out of sites ,email etc etc
am talking from experience ,from previous crash ;

and meta.fm = corrupted file/ saved in favorites renamed and moved location became such a file ,can be done anything to get that back ?
Expert:  Chris Lindsey replied 1 year ago.
The favorite location was moved and now not able to find it?
A system restore may need to be in place.
It will help me understand on what was running that actually caused this, or was it random?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
did end session at task manager ,due to the system froze at opening a huge pdf ;
the favorite file is there where I left it it just become a file with this name to it meta.fm
actually the system does warn you that if rename file and move it from place to place it might lose all its access and contents ;but am not native English and missed it ;
am going to bed am sich and tired for today ;hope to continue tomorrow ;
Expert:  Chris Lindsey replied 1 year ago.
Okay thanks.
A system restore should bring the folder back to where it was. If not I can repair it but it will take a few minutes being connected.
Talk to you tomorrow.
Chris
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
you can repair it without system restore ?
if you do ,can you guide me the step by step what you would do as being connected ;
and see how the tabs return ,and me mark this as super successful and pay full fee "
the meta .fm file though is tuff luck ?
Expert:  Chris Lindsey replied 1 year ago.
Hi,
I would go through all the internet files and checking the background software to make sure your system is running properly that corresponds with the online saving functions.
If you do a System Restore, it should not change your files, just repair the issues back to that certain date.
Let me know.
Chris
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I done that before and all showed perfect ;system restore prove that ita not lost its still in the system ,if can you show me where ?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html
do you suggest that ?
Expert:  Chris Lindsey replied 1 year ago.
Hi,
System File Checker is used mainly for booting up when you have a black screen or a boot error on start up.
The reason it is better for me to connect to you is at my store this issue takes me and my techs about 30-50 minutes of actual labor time going through the corruptions and most of the time having to fix them manually. I can walk you through some things but it will take much longer - stating a step, having to wait until what type of result comes out of that step then issuing the next proper step and so on.
Let me know and a good time if you want to connect.
Chris
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
just connect with someone I only know thru just answer ; without knowing him personally; at least read his face ;is not my way of doing business ;I fully trust you, but am not using the trust at this way.. as well when I had major problems with virus in my system,a year back , I had a tech remote logged in ,and he indeed nothing found, except the much programs installed which since all been taken out and never returned any of them back , I don't see anything in this regard to be the problem now ;actually there is no problem, its common scenario in this browser to loose tabs ,but I believe this has a clue ,got be a way dig into the system and found those temp file and retrieve all back ,if system restore can do it why me not do it but without system restore! ? the same may apply to open again the meta.fm file ??
just need the clever guy and figure it out "
Expert:  Chris Lindsey replied 1 year ago.
I fully understand. I've had to deal with those cases numerous times and correct the issues.
I have a software for you I would like you to run. When you install it and have it running keep clicking next until you get 'All repairs'. Check all of the repairs which is about 40 of them and click run. It will take about 30 minutes on average sometimes shorter or longer.

ok ;about using all these fixing programs /software in my 15 years experiences and in exploring them almost all ,and dealing with variety technicians ,I came finally to found out ,that its best to stay away from them all ;was learned to and this am using ccleaner & super anti spyware & malawarebytes & trendmicro PLUS something that gives me protection from all invaders ,proved many times : www.thejnet.com/filterlevels.asp & and the system itself have setting for security of different sorts ;so am a step ahead already; what's the next step ? try it out ,take your system do a end process at task manager ,and see how at IE ', last session wont come back ! although its set remember" my last session. :)plus reopen at last session :
Expert:  Chris Lindsey replied 1 year ago.
That software has fixed this issue in my business many of times, it doesn't effect the computer in any negative way and wish you would accept my professional guidance.
The only thing I can offer over this is to use and chkdsk /r /f on CMD administrator, a reboot may be required.

is this about the computer machine itself ,to test whether its in any way corrupted ?
if this the case ,my computer is relative new and is the cream of the crop quality wise

Expert:  Chris Lindsey replied 1 year ago.
It's to fix the Windows operating system as it controls the integrated IE.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
if chkdsk was all fine ;what's next ?
what brought you to suspect and be concerned about something broken in the system ?
all forms on the web people in the mass complain about this same issue are sitting on broken systems ? while on chrome the system get fixed ? then back broken on IE ???
if aint broken why fix
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Cons
- Trial is very limited so it's hard to know whether it is a safe tool to use.
http://windows-repair-kit.software.informer.com/3.0/am going to ask tomorrow the technician I know personally, whether he used or using or know the safety of this program
Expert:  Chris Lindsey replied 1 year ago.
Hi,
As Chrome and Firefox are seperate softwares, they are not integrated as much as IE is. More proxy settings and background drivers take hold with IE.
What's next is resetting IE. Go to Tools and Internet Options, Advanced, Restore then Reset the browser.
After that, next is running the Microsoft fix it. Let me know how it goes:

from a different perspective ;system restore which will bring back only those tabs that were open before that restore date ,would succeed in that, although not yet done the disk check and Microsoft fix and IE reset ",isent it possible manually to do the same without the whole system restore ?
if am getting back all tabs ,then will save them all, in IE favorite ,then would be much more calm in maneuver around with system' not being afraid if will effect in any negative way those tabs not yet recovered at the present moment
Expert:  Chris Lindsey replied 1 year ago.
Hi,
No, that is a different software. It came from Microsoft and it's only for Internet Explorer.
You don't need to do a system restore before running those repairs.

and about the link ?
Expert:  Chris Lindsey replied 1 year ago.
Yes, the link http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/windows-repair-all-in-one/dl/265/ should download the Windows All In One 3.0 to repair the software in your computer.
The link http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=9666880 is the download just targeted for IE.

aren't they the same ?
Expert:  Chris Lindsey replied 1 year ago.
Hi,
No they are very different, different companies.
I had offered a lot of my professional advice that has not even been attempted and it has been questioned which can be reasonable. I would like to see this problem get situated as it doesn't have to be dragged out for a week.
If you try the suggestions I gave, it should take care of it - if not, me connecting via remote support it would be done in under a hour.

with all effort haven't succeed yet to get anyone in person or at forums review confirming that had been using that window repair and optimizer tool ,and didn't end up in the long run it corrupted more then it fixed ; while am still curious about that other window all in one repair tool as well ;am thinking about getting some computer on ebay ,on which be able to use as the experimental duck ... am reluctant ,because already coming from there have used only highly rated optimizing tools and in the end after months had to buy new windows ; just now received a response ;Leo Notenb

That repair tools that you just posted just helps cleans some stuff but doesn't usually fix the IE issue.
Have you tried the 3.0 All in One I stated earlier? The remote support is still offered if you are ready to get this knocked out, I know I am.
Let me know.

Hi there,

Sounds good.
