Customer Question

Two issues: I can't get windows security to turn on. The next problem, I downloaded Driver Update and apparently something went wrong because the computer automatically shuts down and tells me to remove any software that I installed that could have caused this or the use Recovery. So, I was able to remove some of the installed download and not others so I used Recovery and I still get the same message. Help please.

Hello, my name is Chris. Just a couple of questions.
- What OS are you using?
- Are you logged on as administrator or a user that has administrative rights?
With that info I'll be better prepared to assist you.

Operating system Windows 7. I am trying to correct the problem as an administrator.

I did try to correct it using my administrator user name.

Roger that info. When you mention "Recover", do you mean using the recovery disk or by any chance are your referring to a system restore. To roll back the Driver updates, you could try a System Restore. If you are not familiar with doing that, I can guide you through it. Let me know.

You mentioned that the system shuts down. I'm curious how you were able to remove some of the downloaded drivers if the machine keeps shutting down. Could you please clarify? Thank you
