I shall try. I removed Adobe XI and have not been able to download a 64 bit version as yet

It stopped working a few days ago when I was having problems with downloading books from Kobo to digital editions. Had to remove and replace digital editions too. Cannot open any pdf attachments on emails either. What permission issues?
