I am using AOL, and a setting has changed so that the list of email is too small to read.

Chris R. :

Hello my name isXXXXX and I would be happy to assist you today.

Chris R. :

Are you viewing your mail from a web browser?

Customer:

Hello,

Customer:

Thanks.

Customer:

No, within AOL.

Chris R. :

The AOL software?

Customer:

Yes.

Chris R. :

Do you have the software open now?

Customer:

Yes.

Chris R. :

Have you tried zooming in by holding the Ctrl key and pressing the + sign on the keyboard?

Customer:

Yes, it doesn't change anything.

Chris R. :

Hmm that should

Chris R. :

What version does it say you are using for AOL desktop?

Customer:

It only changes the size of the text in the opened email but not the list of emails.

Chris R. :

should say on the top

Customer:

9.7

Chris R. :

Do you absolutely need to use the software?

Customer:

Yes.

Chris R. :

I ask because you can just as easily view your mail from the AOL site directly

Chris R. :

and I know for a fact that you can zoom on the page

Chris R. :

as with any browser

Customer:

It was fine until today. When I started my computer I received a message in a pop up box that said it was not set to the recommended resolution. I changed the resolution, and was tinkering with it, and then when I opened AOL, I noticed the tiny text.

Chris R. :

I'd actually like to take a look at this directly if that is ok with you. It is hard for me to help you without seeing exactly what is going on

Customer:

Sure.

Chris R. :

Did you want to try a remote screen share?

Customer:

Yes.

Customer:

Or you can remotely access my computer.

Chris R. :

Alright I just need you to download a small piece of software for me and install it. It should not take you long. Here are the instructions

Chris R. :

Please download and install the program from the link below. It is called Join.Me

https://secure.join.me/Download.aspx?installer=win&webdownload=true

Run the program and select SHARE. Then once you are sharing the screen you will see a 9 digit ID number at the top of the screen. Please tell me this ID number so that I can join you.

Chris R. :

Lets try that link again

Customer:

Page can not be displayed.

Chris R. :

Yeah try that again

Chris R. :

Customer:

OK. It says to wait.

Chris R. :

Customer:

OK, it's done

Chris R. :

Customer:

Do you see the screen?

Chris R. :

It looks like a phone number in the orange on screen menu

Chris R. :

no I can't join without the invite number

Customer:

Yes. I see a popup with orange round icons, the left one is a phone icon.

Chris R. :

Customer:

I see it.

Customer:

It says "Your screen is being shared" when I mouse over it.

Chris R. :
