I have an e520, about a year old. I've reinstalled Win7 when everything went toes up a few months ago (could not access external HDDs or Restore).
Now I use any usb save for the left 2, and then only sometimes. The right usb sank back into the body some months ago.
I do not want to go thru another re-install, and am at wits end.
Also cannot load Jre for secunia). ???

Only the right two and then intermittent on the farthest. The closest has the mouse IR. The right one has sunk into the laptop body.

ok you need to do this

Click on Start orb, Type Device Manager in the search box and Click on Device Manger

expand universal serial bus controllers

Right click each device under and click uninstall

Every device under universal serial bus controllers

Reboot and let them re-install
