Hello kamil -

I was unable to open the file that you had suggested I download as an alternative player link to the recently removed Yahoo Media Player.

Please send me a code sement to replace in my HTML web homepage; www.jceurocats.com.

Thanks,

John -

Hi John,

I sent in a number of recommendations, which one did you chose?

Sjwards?
MediaElements?

Thanks
Customer: replied 1 year ago.

I tried both MediaElements and Sjwards.

Media Elements downloaded a zipped series of files that looked more like a developer package and Sjwards had a great looking player but no visible code segment.

Will you send me several scripts for me to try?

Thanks,

John -

Hi John

You will need a developer to integrate the files on your site.

The complete guide is here:

http://mediaelementjs.com/#howitworks

Have a look at this video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z_R04FgGvtw

There are two other website that do not seem to have complicated coding,

http://yourlisten.com/
https://soundcloud.com/

You can upload the mp3 with them, and generate a code to embed.

Thanks
Customer: replied 1 year ago.

They both appear to be just audio - we need video as well.

Have you looked at our website?

Expert:  Kamil Anwar replied 1 year ago.
Hi John

I am testing this, give me 15-30 minutes.

Thanks

Customer: replied 1 year ago.

This is the message I received when pasting

http://wikisend.com/download/438306/code.txt to the URL

Upload the files, on your server.

Expert:  Kamil Anwar replied 1 year ago.

There is a code in the file, which is

<script src="DANGEROUS URL REMOVED"></script>
<video src="video.mp4" width="320" height="200" controls preload></video>
<audio src="audio.mp3" controls preload></audio>

-

Step 1: You have to upload the MP3 or Video File to your website.

Step 2: If its an audio file, then you use the first/third code, rename audio.mp3 with the file name.

Step 3: if it is a video file, then you use the first and second line of the code, rename video.mp4 with the file you uploaded on your server.

NO GO

I have a media player already loaded on my website.

Do I have to load a SPECIFIC player?

Expert:  Kamil Anwar replied 1 year ago.
I have limited web development experience, therefore i would request you to open another question in the programming category.

However, if you can resolve it this way then it will be great.

The player will load it self, all you have to do is embed the code and give the path in the src=""

If your website is located in /public_html/ and the page where you want to embed the mp3 is called music.html,

then you have to put the file.mp3 in /public_html and embed the code in the page music.html, once it is there, then src=file.mp3 will be there.

There must be 1000's of people and companies' that are scrambling to find the replacement solution for this unfortunate demise of the Yahoo Media Player. Without trying to re-invent the wheel, can you research the replacement workaround that the masses are gravitating to? I'll gladly pay you for the fix...

Hi John,

I am happy to assist with what i know, but cannot assist in integration.

The code i gave you (i found it to be the easiest to use).

Do you have access to ftp?

Give me a sample page, where you would like to embed something.

Thanks
Customer: replied 1 year ago.

Yes, I wrote the website and FTP the mods.

Look at the source code for the Home Page (index.htm) as an example.

If you can assist as to the code segment, I'll implement it.

Thanks,

The Homepage has reference to other pages,

Can you get into this location

TRACKS/British Invasion/

I believe if you upload an mp3 to this location,

You can then use the code i gave to create a reference to the player, that should be able to play the files.

However, i would recommend now that you open a question in the programming category, to get this done so that a programmer can assist you properly on this one.

Thanks
