I want to upgrade my Quicken 2007 version 16.0.0 to version 16.1.0 or later but my "updates" won't connect to the internet.
Optional Information: What have you tried so far?: Tried updating from within the Quicken app, bu to no avail.
Hi there, I'm joey, and I'm happy to help!Probably the easiest way around would be to download the manual update directly from the quicken support website and install it. Before installing make sure you save any transactions you are working on and close quicken. Here's a link to a quick "how-to"http://quicken.intuit.com/support/help/patching/quicken-2007-manual-updates--win-/GEN82574.htmlThe download link for the latest update -- with will actually update your quicken 2007 to Quicken 2007 "R5" is near the bottom of the page at the "click here" link in step #1.If you have Windows Vista or windows 7, make sure you right click the downloaded setup file and select "Run as administrator" instead of just "double clicking" the file to run.If you have any further questions, please feel free to let me know… If you discover something isn’t working like you expect, let me know and I will continue working with you to resolve it! Just REPLY here at any time.__________________________________________________________Please give me a positive rating if I have helped you today so I am credited for my time assisting you. Thanx Joey but the first pass through did NOT work. I have time to try it again just now.....will let you know.....Pete W
If it fails again, please let me know where in the process it fails, and what error messages you see? Thanks, XXXXX XXXXX in touch!
The link in the instructions only leads me to an executable file (.exe) which is, of course, a DOS file for Windows. I cannot find a Manual Update web page for MAC....
My apologies! I never asked your OS version.http://quicken.intuit.com/support/help/patching/quicken-2007-manual-updates--mac-/GEN82250.htmlTHAT is the upgrade instructions for MAC. Detailed instructions are on the link, but the process will be:Download and install the R2 updateDownload and install the Quicken Certificate Updater (R3)That should get you updated to the lastest release!Sorry about the wrong link. This should be more successful for you!If this resolves your issue, please give me a positive rating! If not, just reply back, and I'll continue to work with you!
Experience: I'm an experienced IT systems administrator and engineer.
Seems to have worked to update my Quicken 2007 to R3. I was expecting R5 but that is probably only for Windows OS??
Thanks for you help and patience.
PeteW
You are correct -- looks like R5 is for windows only on the 2007 version.
