I want to upgrade my Quicken 2007 version 16.0.0 to version

I want to upgrade my Quicken 2007 version 16.0.0 to version 16.1.0 or later but my "updates" won't connect to the internet.

What have you tried so far?: Tried updating from within the Quicken app, bu to no avail.

Hi there, I'm joey, and I'm happy to help!

Probably the easiest way around would be to download the manual update directly from the quicken support website and install it. Before installing make sure you save any transactions you are working on and close quicken.


Here's a link to a quick "how-to"

The download link for the latest update -- with will actually update your quicken 2007 to Quicken 2007 "R5" is near the bottom of the page at the "click here" link in step #1.

If you have Windows Vista or windows 7, make sure you right click the downloaded setup file and select "Run as administrator" instead of just "double clicking" the file to run.

The link in the instructions only leads me to an executable file (.exe) which is, of course, a DOS file for Windows. I cannot find a Manual Update web page for MAC....

THAT is the upgrade instructions for MAC. Detailed instructions are on the link, but the process will be:

Download and install the R2 update
Download and install the Quicken Certificate Updater (R3)

That should get you updated to the lastest release!

Seems to have worked to update my Quicken 2007 to R3. I was expecting R5 but that is probably only for Windows OS??

You are correct -- looks like R5 is for windows only on the 2007 version.
