OK great; did the error just start today?

No, a couple of weeks ago, I just let it pass but now I need to open some PDF files that are sent to me.
OK let's try uninstalling Adobe Reader and then reinstalling it. That will hopefully fix the problem. Here is what to do:

  1. Hold down the Windows key on your keyboard and press the R key.
  2. In the Run window that appears, type appwiz.cpl and click OK. This will open the Programs and Features window.
  3. Highlight the Adobe Reader entry and click Uninstall.
  4. Go through the short uninstall wizard.
  5. When complete, CLICK HERE to download the latest version of Adobe Reader (10.1.3).
  6. Choose to Save the download when prompted.
  7. When the download completes, run the file and complete the install wizard.




After completing those steps, can you open the PDFs?
