HERE IS A 'TOUGH' ONE: I need to update my Quicken program. I have been a user for several years so my update purchase MUST be the deluxe version or higher (compatibility with prior years backup files). I REALLY want only the basic functions but am forced to buy and live with all the extra CLUTTER that I do not want. Is there any way to "simplify" a deluxe version of Q so that it will look more like the basic/starter version??
I search the Internet unsuccessfully for an answer.
Hi my name is XXXXXX, X would like to assist you with your question. I am an expert here on JustAnswer.com in the computer field. How are you doing today?
Unfortunately there is no way to hide the additional feature that the deluxe version boasts.
However I would recommend just using the functions of Quicken Deluxe that you are used to in the Starter Edition
Once you become more comfortable with the Deluxe version you may be tempted to try the advanced features
You could always save a backup file of your data and just spend a few days playing around with the new features.
Intuit actually has some pretty good Youtube guides available for free on their channel.

Thank you, XXXXX XXXXX your prompt response. I guess what I want really does not exist! To me, all those fancy extras are still clutter on my ever-shrinking monitor. The computer world with its ever cheaper costs to add function will find a way to jam it into my PC - even when all I seek is SIMPLICITY. Stan
