Hi. My name is ***** ***** I will be happy to help you.

If you are receiving social security disability you can earn up to $1170 ($1130 in 2016) without loosing your benefits. Every month you earn more than $840 ($810 in 2016) is counted as Trial work period. You can have 9 trial work period month during 5 years without jeopardizing your benefits.

To keep your benefits you cannot engage in SGA - substantial gainful activity. It means that if you can earn more than $1170 per month in any type of job you are not considered disabled according to social security standards.
