JA: These retirement benefits are supposed to help us but they can be so complicated! The Retirement Expert will help you get the most benefits propertly. Please tell me more, so we can help you best.
Customer: I'm just looking ahead right now I get widows benefits and I was told I would loose them when I draw on mine

If your benefit amount on your own record is greater than your widow benefit, you will get that difference added to your monthly receipt. We don't get to "stack" them, to receive both full amounts - but we get the highest of the two and it can be paid part from the one, the rest from the other.
