Hi, My name's Lane. I can help here.

...

The most common way is to ask the payor (that paid you the income and would have been responsible for generating the 1099, along with sending a copy to IRS).

...

Normally those are kep on file by the company for three years.

...

Another option would be to get yout tax transcript. You can do that onine here: https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript

...

Be sure that you ask for a wage & Income transcript:

...

  • Wage and Income Transcript - shows data from information returns IRS receives such as Forms W-2, 1099, 1098 and Form 5498.

Pardon me; Business owners should keep tax information for at least four years. That includes employment records, gross receipts, 1099's and other information returns filed, invoices, bank statements, proofs of purchase, asset records, databases, emails and even voicemails.

Please let me know if you have any questions at all, before rating me

Thank you!
