How can I get a statement of what I am receiving in social

Customer Question

How can I get a statement of what I am receiving in social security? I do not get an annual statement because I am paid through the Railroad Retirement Board and the 1099 shows the railroad spousal pension but not the social security amount. I just subtract the railroad pension from the amount I receive each year when I report earnings on my tax return. Right now I need a statement because I am refinancing my home.

Hi My name's Lane ... I can help here.

...

First, you can set up an account at https://www.ssa.gov/myaccount/ and print out the benefit verification letter (sometimes called an award letter) immediately.

...

If you can't or don't want to do that ther you have two other options:

...

Curl up with a good book and call 1-***-***-**** (the wait times are usually better, shorter, in the mornings tues through thursday) ... the call center is iopen from 7 AM to 7PM

...

You can also go to a local field office: Here's a site here you can enter your zip code and get the information:

...

I hope this has helped ... Please let me know if you have any questions at all, before rating me

...

If this HAS helped, and you DON’T have other questions … I'd appreciate a positive rating (using the stars or faces on your screen, and then clicking “submit") ... Otherwise JA doesn't credit me for the work here.

...

Thank you!

Lane
