I am a semi-retired school teacher who has been diagnosed

Customer Question

I am a semi-retired school teacher who has been diagnosed with cancer of the larynx. Because of the tumor which has been recently removed, I no longer have command of my voice. I am barely able to speak and at times not at all. Since I can no longer perform my duties in the classroom and unable to find work where my voice would be necessary (sales clerk, receptionist etc.) am I entitled to any form of disability benefits? Thanks for your time.
